Cream Gourmet Coffee

Tired of Folgers?
I’m looking for a brand of coffee in which to brew at home in my drip coffee maker. I would prefer not using the “gourmet” brands, such as Starbucks. I just want a decent everyday brew similar to the taste of “Caribou” coffee, but am not willing to pay the ridiculous prices, it’s all just coffee. I currently use Folgers and am very tired of this.
Please God, help me, I just want a good ‘ol regular cup of Joe at a reasonable price. Have tried all the usual culprits, Maxwell House, Hills Brothers and several others that do not interest me. I do use cream and sugar, “Boston Style” using just a shot of half and half. This seems to be a reasonable request for the masses.
If you could help, I will be extremely greatful.
Alright, now don’t laugh at my suggestion…
I have been where you are, switching from Maxwell house to Folgers (try different blends of Folgers, it has helped me before) but now I am heading up the same road as you and getting tired of any and all of Folgers’ blends. Have you seen the commercials for the Dunkin’ Donuts coffee they sell in the grocery stores now? I have never tried it myself (either the coffee at the store or from the supermarket) but I have read a couple of surveys where their coffee received high ratings from coffee drinkers across the country. Like I said though: I haven’t tried it yet myself but I do plan on buying a bag of it when my Folgers can is out. I hope this helps or at least prompts someone to give their two cents if they have tried this particular brand. Good Luck!
*Editing* I just thought of something: I am not sure where you live but my father-in-law swears by Kroger’s coffee. He always has us get some for him when we travel up to Virginia. If you have a Kroger’s in your area you may want to try that.
