Green Beans Ethiopian
Why is coffee popular? I purchased green coffee beans, and they would never pass USDA quality, and be banned.?

Ethiopian and Indonesian coffees are hype. Cupping is one thing, swallowing the swill is another. A world gimmick. I say set strict standards, with truthfulness about age and potable quality, not sweet lies and sales hype.

Coffee is popular because it tastes good and gives a slight “boost”, caused by the caffeine. The rest of your question is a rant.

From Bean to Cup Ethiopian Harar roasted over gas stove.

It is said that in 850 AD an Ethiopian goat herder named Kaldi discovered coffee when his flock began to dance around sleeplessly in the night. Curious, he discovered that his flock had been eating the cherries of coffee trees, and the rest is history. Ethiopian beans feature a fragrant aroma with hints of citrus and floral undertones. The subtle fruity taste of this bean is accompanied by a moder…

These are amazing and unique coffees. Coffees from this region will surprise you with their floral and tangerine notes. I like to think of the Yirgacheffes as the “Tabasco” of the coffees. As a dash of Tabasco will turn an ordinary chicken soup into a great cup of soup, a yirgacheffe will take a medium cup to a whole new level. Many folks like it straight, I like to blend it. Roast it lighter than…
