Are the cherries from the coffee plant edible to humans? If so, where can I get some?
I have heard the story of how coffee was ‘discovered’ by the caffiene-high goats, and how Kopi Luwak coffee is made after the civets eat coffee cherries. I was just wondering if humans can eat these, if they’re any good, and where you can get them from?
Yes you can eat them. They don’t taste very good. Where can you get them? Try your local botanical garden. University of Michigan botanical garden has a coffee tree for instance.
