How does one remove fruity odors from a plastic container?

About a month ago we used a large plastic pitcher to serve an Ina Garten concoction made with raspberry and lemon zinger herbal tea. The drink was DELICIOUS at the time, but no matter how often I wash the pitcher, we can still smell the fruit today.

Use Clorox and water. Let sit for a little while and rinse well. This should get any stains and odors out of any plastic container.

I much prefer Pottery or Ceramic pitchers for flavored teas and punches. Easier to clean.
