is kopi luwak a rip-off?
can you really buy genuine kopi luwak? Doesnt the best of this coffee go to insiders and the rest to the general public? I paid 200 dollars for a pound of supposed Kopi Luwak and it was awful. It was very bitter for one thing and that is exactly the opposite of what its supposed to be. Also, it was dark roasted. Again, the opposite of what it should be. I think most of what is sold online comes from caged sivec cats who are fed inferior coffee bean cherries. If anyone knows a reputable dealer , let me know.
Kopi Luwak originated here in East Java, Indonesia. I guess if you want to get the real Kopi Luwak you have to come here and we can look for them in the coffee plantation in the form of chivet droppings.
